Handcrafted Popsicles!
Go to the corner of Highland and North Ave for handcrafted popsicles by the King of Pops! Their $2.50 a pop and totally worth it. I recommend the blueberry lemongrass, so delicious.

Inman Park Pool
Two rolls of film to develop are on their way! Man I wish I could develop black and white film in my sink. I would but it's summer, you need color! Plus, chemicals under the kitchen sink? Hah!
I don't know if you have ever been to Inman Park Pool, but it's pretty awesome. They have a diving board the Beluga Children's swim team! A friend drove so I left my camera bag in my car. I got so mad once a thousand kids were uniformly breastroking away. Imagine a bunch of health-obsessed Moms yelling along the sidelines, "Breaststroke, breaststroke! I said BREASTSTROKE!" *sharp whistle sound effect* And these poor kids are just being forced to take a fun activity like swimming to maybe potentially be the next Michael Phelps. Well, wake up and smell the sunscreen. Michael Phelps didn't set all those goals because Mama Phelps wanted him to. He did it because Mama Phelps supported him wanting to. Go Inman Park Beluga's!
I wanted to give all the little kids my horse trainer's card. First off, I don't have one to give. Second, she doesn't need any more clients. She's literally working herself till she's sick. It's pretty hard for sports-obsessed Moms to become obsessed about horse riding. Especially if they went to my barn. Cheryl wouldn't let it happen and no one is going to leave Cheryl's barn soon. I don't think I've talked much about Cheryl. Cheryl Pritchard, married to Nigel Pritchard, VP of International Something or Other at CNN. I love that he works in Atlanta instead of New York or LA.
While at Inman Park today, my heavily tattooed friend was bitched at by an angry-obsessed swim mom. Then as we were sitting on our poolside chairs, a much friendlier swim team Mom made our view of swim team Mom's better. While I was at the barn I was thinking about what the barn-moms would think of my heavily tattooed friend. I'd like to think they would all accept him for who he is, despite the body decoration. But then as I was thinking, I realized the horse world is probably the least accepting sport. Our barn is very diversified and very open compared to the others, but I don't think they would simply welcome him and his tattoos.
My late-night rambling is over now that my eyes are finally getting heavy. Goodnight Georgia.

Bike Rides for MS!
Bike Rides for MS!
For cyclists all across the US, this is a great way to meet fellow cyclists and support a great cause. Look for a ride in your area, they are all across the country and all year long. Registration is a small 35$ fee with a fund raising minimum of 150$. 82 cents of each dollar raised goes directly to providing services for people living with multiple sclerosis and the rest goes to finding a cure. If this isn't your thing, you can make a donation or sponsor a rider. Or if you aren't a cyclist, spread the word!
I will hopefully be doing the NYC October 3rd 30 mile one, hopefully.

PS Warehouse 585 Wells St
This summer hasn't been going the way I planned. I was expecting to have a job somewhere by now. An income to support my photo habit. Thus I haven't been able to take almost any pictures lately.
I was also shocked by a few people who I thought were my friends who apparently aren't. It's always difficult dealing with people who let you down.
My horse, Tripp, has been consistently the greatest thing in my life ever since I left for New York. He is the only constant, who will never ever let me down. If anything, he carries me on when I can't do it alone. This probably sounds weird to people who aren't animal lovers. You'll just never know.
Tripp is my first love, my second is a tie between photography and music. My friend Collin is a hardcore encyclopedia. I was proud to realize I was a photography encyclopedia. Anyway, I love music, especially hardcore, as much as I love photography. I love documenting anything and everything hardcore. Lately, it's been a little depressing in Hate City hardcore. Some people act like kings when they really do nothing to help anyone. My friend's car battery died. He was parked right behind me. So these two guys come up to try to help him. I take two pictures of the situation, friends helping friends. One guy walks off saying he won't help if there's pictures. So I say I'm done and put away my camera. I wasn't taking pictures of him anyway. Most useless help I've ever seen in my life. There was at least fifteen people who showed up and hung out outside the whole time, didn't even pay or go inside. That's just irritating.
Anyway, our local venue is in need of help. The stage is dangerously wobbly. It's also small but there isn't a way to get the size fixed with the amount of money we have. The venue has no money to spare to fix the stage. I was trying to think of ways to get wood. No one has any money. I've been living off a 250$ check my mom reimbursed me for the past few weeks. I have money on my debit card, but I've been trying to regulate and use it as little as possible. I'm going to Home Depot tomorrow to see if we are anywhere within a general price range. Wish me luck.

What I Wish I Said to my Exes
Inspired by, http://www.glamour.com/sex-love-life/blogs/single-ish/2010/05/tk-things-i-wish-i-had-said-to.html and Joanna Goddard's Smitten blog.
I wish I had been myself around you.
I wish I wasn't so scared of what you thought of me.
I wish I had the balls to say no in the first place.
I wish I had listened to myself cringe.
I wish I had allowed you to come see me at a horse show.
I wish I had been more confident in myself.
I wish I wasn't such an asshole.
I hope that now I have the ability to be myself no matter who is around and no matter what I'm feeling.

Paulding County Animal Hospital
http://pauldinghumane.org/
Paulding County Animal Hospital has to shut down for emergency construction, so where do the animals go?!
They are going to close on May 28th. Right now all animals are going for 20$. The animals who don't get adopted will be put to sleep. So please help these animals, they really need you right now. If you've been thinking about getting a dog or a cat, now is the time to do it.
However, don't get a dog just for the hell of it. If the dog won't fit your lifestyle, don't get it. Example: Say you're a pretty chill person, right? When you get home from a hard day at the office, you want to chill on the couch and rest. Don't go get a dog that's bouncing off the walls so excited to see you! You'll be much happier with the other dog who sits in front of you and wags his tail. Make sense?
Also, do your research about the dog's breed. Everybody knows about Pit Bulls reputation. But if you exercise them regularly and discipline them correctly(and are the right match for your energy level) they could be a great dog!
One more thing to remember is age. The younger dogs and cats will easily find a home. The older dogs and older cats needs homes too. They may not be as cute and adorable as kittens and puppies, but adorableness isn't the only factor in adopting an animal.
I ask you to offer help to these animals, but I also ask that you get the right animal to really make it work so they don't wind up in another humane society. Thanks.

Foundation + Backtrack Tour Kick Off
For some reason my flickr isn't working for the non-flickr-public so I'm going to put all of the images on here instead of linking over. If you want to blog something, please credit me and please let me know if you're going to use one of my images.
The show was fantastic! Hivemind, from Florida, opened. It's always nice to hear a band for the first time right in front of you. I was pretty impressed, but I didn't get pictures. I had to restrain myself cause I wasn't sure what I was going for would come out. Check them out, they're on an East Coast tour to cape Cod right now.
Then Undertaker and Roam Alone, two great Atlanta locals. Always a good time. I shot a few of Roam Alone but it didn't come out very well haha, oops.
These photos were random photos taken sometime in between the sets. Click on them to see their size.

Collin and Trevor are so photogenic if you'll look back at the United Blood photo, http://www.flickr.com/photos/bobwashington/4474729293/.
Then Backtrack! It's always fun to watch them. I saw them for the first time in January in Atlanta. Then saw them again twice in New York. The first time in New York was with Madball. The second time was with H2O, two legendary New York Hardcore bands.

My favorite out of all the pictures from that night.
Then, last but certainly not least was Foundation. I really don't know what to say about them. They deserve every help they've ever gotten from Have Heart, Bridge 9, everyone before I heard about them, and certainly all the fans. They're some of the most devoted people to hardcore I've ever met. Probably one of my favorite bands to see live, they never get old.

Oh yeah, Hank broke his nose. That's blood on his hand.

"Josh, what's the best country?"
"That'd be Braves country, with the USA in a close second."
